My Trip To New York City.

Hi guys and gals! Hope you are all doing great!

So, not so long ago, me and Michael jetted to New York, USA for a lovely 8 night stay! This place has been on my bucket list for years, and when we finally had the opportunity to go, there was nothing stopping us! This was the first time we’d ever been on US soil, and safe to say it didn’t disappoint! We made a huge go pro video of our time, but here is some of our photos and a run down on our trip!

We went on 31st October, so everything was very ‘Halloween’esk’. We flew with Virgin in Premium Economy and the flight was incredible! The staff were lovely, and the plane was super clean and the seats were super comfy! We had an upgraded food menu which was amazing, because we all know plane food isn’t the best! But this didn’t disappoint! We had free champagne on a arrival aswell and free alcohol throughout. I gave all mine to Mike as I’m not a huge fan of flying (I didn’t mind it, I didn’t want to add alcohol to my system!) So he got slightly drunk on the plane!

Our hotel was lovely! It was right outside Madison Square Garden, and the views from the hotel were beautiful. Sadly from our window was just buildings behind us, but we wasn’t bothered about this, as we wasn’t there enough to care. They only catered for breakfast, and they always had something different everyday, so we never went out for breakfast! I often had waffles and Syrup which was good enough for me!

We done loads of different stuff, so I won’t go into to much detail about every single thing. I spent hundreds of dollars in Sephora (I saved for months!), and Mike brought so many clothes as the price of branded clothing was so much cheaper than here in the UK. The first day we mainly spent doing shopping, just to get our bearings of where we were. We shopped down Soho which is an amazing place to shop! Also all around Times Square is great. I couldn’t believe how many Sephoras are in walking distance of each-other. It was great for me!

We done all the stereotypical ‘touristy’ things! As we went for Michaels 21st birthday, I brought him a 30 minute ride in a helicopter over the city, and it was breath-taking! Not only was it so much fun, seeing New York so high up was unreal. As much as it was expensive, I would never go again without doing it. We then spent the afternoon in Central Park Zoo. A really small zoo but it was really nice to walk around and see the animals! The weather was so nice, so was such a lovely afternoon. We also managed to walk to Wall Street and see the famous Bull!

We also went to the Statue Of Liberty. We climbed all the way to her crown, and iv never climbed so many stairs in my life! Again, the view was so surreal, and the statue itself its so much better than what I imagined it to be! Ellis Island was a flop, and was a little boring so we pretty much walked in and straight out again!

We decided to go up the Empire State Building, instead of Rockefeller. Simply because it was so close to our hotel. The view was unreal. NYC was really foggy that day, and it made the city look so picturesque. We went right up to the 102 floor despite Mikes apprehension, and I am so glad we did! It didn’t look any different, but just to say we did it, is good enough for me!

One evening we went to watch the New York Knicks play basketball at Madison Square Garden, and never have I had so much fun watching a sports game! The atmosphere is so much more than I expected, watching the actual game was so much fun, and when we go to Florida we are 100% going to watch a game!!! Hands down one of the best things we done! I’ve recommended to everyone going to NYC, to go and see a game! Ice Hockey was also on, but by that time, due to being the last night we didn’t have much money left! We also had the best steak meal I will ever eat in my life, at the restaurant under MSG. It was called ‘…’ and if you have some money to spare on the best meal you’ll ever have, go there. You will not be disappointed!

One of the last things we done was go and see the 9/11 memorial. The emotions that run through that whole place is so eery, and its devastating to actually be in the presents of such a tragic event. The museum really shows what people went through. I’m to young to remember 9/11, but you can’t help but feel so much sorrow for the people that lost their lives. A must see, to pay respects. (Sadly I didn’t get many photos of this, as we were taking in our surroundings!)

I really didn’t want to come home, it has to be one of my favourite cities in the whole world, and we didn’t see half of it. I really want to go back for a long weekend soon, you can’t express how amazing it is, until you really see it for yourself!

I cannot wait to go back to the US this year!!

Until next time! Lots of love, Ellie x

My Current Favourite Zoeva Brushes!

Hi Everyone! Hope you are all doing fabulous!

I am a total makeup brush hoarder, and I love buying new brushes to try out! I’ve tried quite a few different brands, but Zoeva seems to stand out to me the most! The quality is always on point, I love the way they look, and they always last me such a long time! I have recently discovered their new ‘Rose Gold’ set, which are not only beautiful, but match my new room in my new house! Will 100% be investing in the whole set soon enough. But these are my current top 6 favourites, that I use almost everyday.

104 / Buffer – I recently spoke about this brush in my ‘Maybelline Super Stay 24hrs Foundation’ review. This is the only foundation I will ever use to buff in my foundation. It is the perfect density, and doesn’t leave streak marks all over your face. It did shed a little when I first used it, but never again since. It also washes really nicely and always keeps its shape! I don’t often use a brush for my foundation, as I prefer the application from a sponge, but this is the one I turn to if I fancy a change.

105 / Luxe Highlighter – This is my most recent purchase from Zoeva. When I saw this colouring I instantly fell in love with them!! They look gorgeous, and look so expensive in my brush pot, it really stands out. This is incredible for highlight, its the right shape for my cheekbones and tip of my nose so it places the product in all the right points! This is the only brush I use for my highlight at the moment. I love it! I am also so desperate to get this whole collection! Its just incredible!

227 / Luxe Soft Definer – This is the brush I use to prime my eyelids if I’m not priming with a cream primer! If I’m lazy, I’ll just put a white base down on my eyes, and this is so soft, and picks up the shadow really well. It disperses the product so well on the lids.

228 / Luxe Crease – My GO TO crease brush! I love this for putting the first transition colour through the crease, and it blends out my shadow beautifully every time. I try every new shadow I get with this brush, as I know it works so well, and can really tell if the eye shadow is a good quality shadow. I’ve used this to death, and I am in desperate need of a new one, but I will carry on using it till that day comes!

223 / Petit Eye Blender – This is great for the lower lash line! It’s the perfect size to blend product into the eye, and makes my shadow look beautiful and smokey every time. It’s just the perfect size. And also super soft, so it doesn’t irritate my eyes.

231 / Luxe Petit Crease – I love this for packing and blending out darker shades on my outer corner. Again, it’s just so soft, so the product looks effortless on my outer corner, and when using dark shades, there is usually fall down, but this holds the product so well. I find when I use this brush, it halves the amount of full down, giving me maximum product.

142 / Concealer Buffer – Now, I don’t actually use this brush to buff in concealer. I actually use it to really set my concealer under my eyes and on my eyelids. It helps to keep creasing at bay, as the application is so precise. If I decide to bake under the eyelids, I will only use this so set on the actual eyelids. I also use this to clean up any shadow on the outer corner, so get a super precise blend.

And that is my favourite Zoeva brushes! I’m 100% going to try new brush brands this year, I really want to try more Morphe and Sigma. When I go to the USA, my list of brushes I want to buy is almost in-human.

Lots of love, Ellie x

Topshop Lipsticks – Review and Swatches.

Hi Everyone! Hope you are all doing fab!

For a long time now, Topshop have had their very own beauty line, starting a trend for most other high street clothing stores. They have a full range of products, with base, eyes and lips!

A couple of years ago, whilst queuing to buy whatever t-shirt or pair of Jamie jeans caught my eye that day, I swatched a lipstick of theirs called ‘Lovestruck’. It was my go-to lipstick for months, I even brought one for my cousin Ashleigh, whom to this day still loves it (she would tell you, I am an awful influence to her when we go shopping, she comes home with more makeup than me!!). Sadly we are using it sparingly, as they have discontinued our favourite colour! But this sparked a desire to try and find another staple Topshop lipstick for my collection! I tried 6 new shades, all totally different colours, undertones and finishes!

From left to right – Fast Lane, Mind Your Manners, Dreamy, Beguiled, Inhibition , Rio Rio.

First of all I have to say, they are some of the most comfortable lipsticks I have EVER tried from the high street. DAMN this formula is insane! It is so comfortable on the lips, and the pigmentation for every shade is there. Usually when buying 6 lipsticks at a time, its possible to find a dud… but nope! Not a single one of these shades disappointed me!

Obviously, the more creamier ones are transferable, but you have to expect that from a more glossy type formula! So just be careful with the more darker shades! The two matte ones I picked up, Dreamy and Rio Rio are such beautiful matte lipsticks! They are so easy to wear, and they don’t dry out your lips! Dreamy has now become one of my all time favourite lipsticks ever! It compliments my skin tone beautifully, and I feel like this is such a universal shade aswell. This is also a one of those ‘omg what have you got on your lips?’ colour!

The packaging is almost like… a metal packaging! Which is great and so fab to travel with, but it does start to scratch and rub off over time! But I’m not going let that put these lipsticks down, they are such good quality, you really can’t fault them.

I cannot wait to get my hands on some more of these! They are ALL incredible, and very much a staple in my lipstick collection! And at a price tag of £8.00 you really can’t go wrong. A huge recommendation to you all!

Maybelline Super Stay 24hrs Full Coverage Foundation Review!

Hi everyone! Hope you are all doing really well!

Sorry for being so quiet, I never guessed I would be so busy with daily life so early into 2018! A lot has been going on! (In a good way!!). But I am back with a review of the new ‘Maybelline Super Stay 24hrs Full Coverage’ foundation!

Maybelline Super Stay All Day 24hrs in the shade ’10 Ivory’

This has been a big topic of conversation in the beauty world, and obviously I was going to jump on the hype train! This claims to be a full coverage, long lasting foundation (hence the 24hrs) that wont budge or transfer all day, and won’t clog your pores. It also claims to be lightweight, and flawless.

First of all, I brought the total wrong shade! This was the lightest shade I could find in my local boots, but I have just been mixing some of the Nip+Fab lightning drops into help lighten this up! This shade will be great for me in summer, but if I don’t lighten this, I end up looking like a big orange mess! So will have to invest in the lightest shade!

Talking of shades, at the moment there are only 16 shades in this foundation. And the shade range isn’t great, and with the current controversy around this topic (and very rightly so) they could have done better. It is 100% not fair, that not all women can just easily walk up to a stand and find their shade. It is a great that as a community, we are standing up against this problem, and brands are finally realising a problem that never should have been a problem in the first place!

I have a few pro’s and con’s to this foundation, so lets get into that!

The packaging is beautiful! Has a lovely glass bottle and a pump which I really like! Makes application so much easier! And even though it is glass, it is super practical!

The coverage of this foundation is great! It is super lightweight as they state, and feels like nothing on your skin. It is easily build-able aswell, so you can get maximum coverage, but it can get slightly cakey if you don’t take the time to work it into your skin! But once on the skin and blended out, it looks flawless. Products layer really nicely on top, and looks effortless once set with powder. BUT this does really oxidise on the skin, like goes almost a shade darker! So just bear that in mind if you do purchase this product! As I have found out!

Zoeva 104 Buffer Brush

I tried 3 different ways of applying this foundation. I used my Zoeva 104 Buffer Brush, my Beauty Blender, and the Real Techniques sponge. I found the best way to apply was with my Beauty Blender (not pictured as they need a proper good clean!!), as it made the product sit on my skin the best. I felt the other two methods made the product sink into my pores a little more, but regardless, if I was without my Beauty Blender I wouldn’t be offended by the application! Just needs a little more time and love!

Wear time wasn’t 24hrs like it states. (not that I would wear it for 24hrs, wouldn’t recommend that!!) After around 7 hours I was an oil slick! I have combo skin, so it isn’t all that unusual to get oily, but this seem to look more greasy than my skin usually would at this time, and my pores look disgusting! So I would wear this more for a night out, where it wouldn’t be on my face as long as all day wear. I have tried this a couple of times, with different primers and my skin was the same every time at the end of the day. And it transfers after a while aswell, so just beware of that!

Overall, this is a good drugstore foundation, and its a great price! Would just be weary on what shade you get, and that it can get super oily. Set it with a powder, and you’ll be good to go!

Till the next review!!

Lots of love, Ellie x

What’s In My Bag? Jan 2018.

Hi everyone! Hope you are all fabulous!

I see these posts all the time, and it’s actually really interesting to see what us gals (and boys) carry around in our bags! I recently emptied mine out, as it was full crumbs, and wrappers! Oh and loads of receipts! Why do we hoard all this stuff in our bags? I have got to admit, just throwing stuff in my bag and forgetting about it, is something I do on a daily! Although finding the odd £1/2 or fiver in a random pocket is a joy!! I also found a completed McDonalds hot drink… thingy in there the other day! Oh the little things!

97A69623-41C5-4598-952C-48ED3B44E930I am currently using the Michael Kors ‘Selma Large Saffiano Leather Satchel’ £340, that I purchased whilst in New York, from the Michael Kors store in Soho! I really wanted a nice bag, and as soon as I walked into the store, they had this on display with the pompom (Fur Key Chain, £55) attached and I was sold!

Iv also been swapping it out with the The Mini Lock Backpack, £22, from Topshop. I use this more for when I go to work, and just need to chuck the essentials in my bag and go!

First up, I always have my iPhone 8 Plus on me! I could never leave the house without it! Even if I forget my debit card.. apple pay saves the day! I won’t go to into detail on the phone itself, thinking about doing a review on it! And it is always in my bag, because I am terrible with phones! I think I have dropped every phone I have! God knows how much has been spent on new screens! (Case is from Casetify, £35).

Next is my purse! This is a Ted Baker purse, that Michael got me for Christmas one year! This is totally battered, as it has been the only one I have used for a long time! Its really slim, but I can get loads of cards in this! I don’t really carry around cash much, but the coin pocket is nicely sized! Might treat myself to a new one, when I go to America in July!

I always have headphones on me! I use the Apple AirPods, and the headphones that came with my iPhone. AirPods are great if you are on the move, or at the gym! There is no wire getting in the way, and the wireless connection is amazing! I can go anywhere in my house, leaving my phone in my room and my music still plays! I always carry my wired ones, just in-case my AirPods run out!

A couple of other random bits and bobs include, My Keys (obvs, cant forget those, can’t drive my car, get into my office, or my house without them!), my sunglasses (I always go for Ray Bans! They suit my face the best), A Pen (Mine is Swarovski, a present from my mum!!) Tissues (a necessity), A Mirror, Antibacterial Hand Gel (I’m currently using the Strawberry and Rasberry from Superdrug! This one is my fave, smells INCREDIBLE!), Countless Lipsticks, they just seem to collect in handbags! I also have a Hairbrush and Hairband for those ‘I want my hair out of my face’ days, Chewing gum (I refuse to go anywhere without it!), and Tablets, for those aches and pains, when you’re out and about! And apart from the odd crumb or two, that is it!

I hope you all have as much random junk as me!

Lots of Love, Ellie x

P.S, enjoy this picture of my pup Bella trying to help me take photos!! Totally out of focus but her tongue poking out made me laugh!! Must get pics of my other pup Kallie!

What To Watch! Jan 2018.

Hi everyone! Hope you are all fabulous!

So, every month I do a ‘What to watch’! I’m a Netflix fan through and through, and me and Michael binge watch every series we watch! So I feel like I have a pretty good array of knowledge when it comes to TV!
Stranger Things PosterStranger Things, 2 Seasons. OMG you have to watch this. If you haven’t heard about Stranger Things, where have you been? This award winning series has been the talk of the internet, and I will 100% always join the hype! This series is set in 1980’s, based around a 12-year-old called Will. Will goes missing, and a huge investigation is launched by his mother Joyce to try and find him. As time goes on, they unravel the truth of his disappearance, with the help of Eleven, a very special little girl, and Wills best friends, Mike, Dustin, and Lucas. This is a 10/10 for me. Series 1 was released in July 2017, and series 2 on Halloween 2017. You will not be able to stop watching this, truly gripping.

The Crown, 2 Seasons. The Crown Poster This is one my Mum actually recommended to me. This is about the story of Queen Elizabeth II, as a 25-year-old, who has just come to the thrown. Whilst the scary concept of being a newlywed, and a new queen isn’t daunting enough, she is currently under pressure due to the decline of the British Empire. This whole series was confirmed by The Royal Family themselves, and it is so interesting, and really insightful into the life of the young Queen. Even if you aren’t into the Royal Family, the concept of this series is truly like none other. Very informative also, showing how being a Royal, might not be as easy as we all may think. Another 10/10 series for me. Beautifully delivered.

The Big Bang Theory, 11 Seasons. This series is clearly a known to everyone. I knew The Big Bang Theory Posterabout Big Bang, but I’d never actually watched it. Michael has been trying to get me into it for months, but I just wasn’t interested. When we was in our Hotel in London on NYE, it came on the TV. We ended up watching it until we left to go and watch the fireworks! So new years day, we started from the beginning on Netflix! Every night we watch at least 8 episodes, as they are only 20 minutes long! There are currently around 230 episodes at the moment, so I feel like we wont be worrying about a series for a while! This series is about 4 best friends, Leonard, Sheldon, Howard and Rajesh. They are self-professed nerds, and they have no luck with Women! Penny, moves across the hall from Sheldon and Leonards apartment, and that is when they start trying their luck. Totally funny and witty in every way. A brilliant American Sit-Com, and good for if you need a ‘pick me up’ TV show.

And that is it for January! Until next month!

Lots of love, Ellie x

(All pictures have been taken from Netflix, and CBS, in no way do I own the right to these photos, and will continue to make that clear)

My Makeup Favourites Of The Year! 2017.

Hi Everyone! Hope you are all doing great!

So, as promised, here is my favourites of 2017! These are my holy grail products, and throughout the year, I have reached for them the most! One of my favourite things is buying new make up, and it is the best feeling when you first use it, and instantly get that ‘I am going to love this’ feeling! And every single one of these gave me that! Iv have stand out products, and some I couldn’t whittle down to just 1!

So this is going to be super long! But, sometimes you can’t hold back when it comes to makeup! Why would you? I have only included 1 eyeshadow palette, due to the fact I done a totally dedicate blog post on my favourite palettes of the year, so go and check that out!

NYX Born To Glow Illuminating Primer in white, £7 – This gives the most beautiful glow to the skin! I feel as if this is a really good dupe for MAC’s strobe cream in Sliverlite. I use this on the areas of my face that aren’t oily, and my foundation always sits so nice on top! A really good drugstore primer!

Touch in Sol No Poreblem, £15 – I first heard about this product from Jeffree Star! And so many other people were raving about it! I have huge pores, so i’m willing to try anything to fill them in! This totally fills in and blurs all my skin beautifully! I feel like it also helps to keep my oils at bay during the day, and my makeup looks flawless! A little bit also goes a long way! I will continue to use this throughout 2018! And I also think the price is pretty good, considering how long it will last you!

MAC Studio Fix Fluid in NW13, £23.50 – This is been my favourite foundation for years, this was on the of the first MAC products I ever purchased, and have probably gone through countless bottles of this! This works with my oily skin amazing! The coverage is unreal, and other products layer so well on top! I will forever continue to re-purchase!

Huda Beauty #FauxFilter, in Angel Food 110N. £32 – Now, this hasn’t long been released, and instantly sold out on cult beauty! As soon as I could get my hands on it, I ordered it straight away! God this is high coverage, and it looks totally flawless on the skin! It also lasts really well, and helps to keep my skin matte! The only thing I don’t like about this, is the smell! Its a really strong perfume smell, and it tends to linger on the face for a while! But I just get past that, I love this so much. The colour range is also really nice, and I feel like this is the first foundation that has ever properly matched my skin!

Sadly, I am yet to find a drugstore foundation I love, but that is on my list of things to discover this year!

Tarte Shape Tape, in Light Neutral, £22. – Well, if this isn’t the most talked about concealer of the year, what is? Because this stuff is like Photoshop in a tube. The pigments and coverage in this concealer is a total game changer! The way it brightens your skin, and covers is like no other concealer I have ever put on my face! The smallest amount goes such a long way, and creasing? No way Sista!! This will stay put throughout the day, and l have even brought myself a couple of back ups so I will never run out! It looks incredible under the eyes, covers redness and spots, and also carves out your brows really well! LOVE!

Collection Lasting Perfection, in Fair 1, £4.19. – Again, one of the most talked about drugstores concealers ever! This was the first concealer I was ever introduced to, and since then, I have continued to buy it . The coverage is wicked, and once you set it, it will last all day! It isn’t as crease proof as shape tape, but if you’re on a budget this is the best alternative! You will not be disappointed!

Coty Airspun Loose Face Powder, in Translucent, £13.99 – This powder has been the only one I used through the whole of 2017. I brought numerous different ones, but this has been 1st place through and through. It mattifies the skin so nicely, and doesn’t look cakey in anyway! It bakes beautifully, and leaves your under-eyes looking so smooth and bright. I brought this Jan 2017, and I am still using the same pot I started with! You get so much product that will last you months and months and it is just such a good price as well! In the UK you can find this on Amazon.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit, in Light to Medium, £42. –  This is more on the pricey side of makeup, as its ABH, but the colour of the contour on my pale skin is perfect. I purchased this back when I was in New York, and I haven’t stopped using it since! I am still yet to even hit pan on this, and for a while I used it every single day! Again, I’ve tried a lot of contouring products, but this is still a standout for me. This year I want to try more contour powders, and even creams, drugstore and high end! A firm fave in my collection.

MAC bronzing powder in Matte Bronze, £23. – I feel as if not many people talk about this a lot, I was wondering around the MAC store one day when I came across this, and the colour is just right for my skin tone. It blends effortlessly, and it isn’t so pigmented you have to dip your brush in once. Get a good swirl in there, and you are good to go! I haven’t really experimented with bronzer enough since finding this! Another discovery I want to make this year!

Milani Powder Blush in Romantic Rose 01, £12. – Again, another product I purchased in the states! (It’s only $9 in the USA, instead of £12 here!) and something I’ve used ever since I got home! It gives a lovely healthy glow to the skin, and looks really natural! The colour is beautiful and totally matte. The formula isn’t super creamy, but you can get a lot of product on your brush! When I go back to the US in July this year, I am definitely going to try more colours from this line!

Nars Blush in Deep Throat, £24. – Those oh so controversial Nars Blusher names hey! These blushes are gorgeous, and Deep Throat is my favourite colour this year! A beautiful pink, with a very slight shimmer through it, to give your skin a beautiful glow! It is super pigmented unlike the Milani one (which is totally different anyway) and one swipe in the pan, and off you go!

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Moonstone, £32. – Highlighter is my favourite base make up (obvs!) and this is a wet, totally blinding highlight! The formula is so creamy, and it effortlessly blends into the skin to look almost natural! This is one of the only highlighters I have ever hit pan on! Incredible! And once it hits the light, BOOM! You will light up the room! This will also suit a lot of different skin tones!

Sleek Solstice Palette, £9.99. – A firm favourite within the beauty community this year! I really enjoy the colours in this palette, I mainly stick to the yellowy colour for my cheek bones and bronze colour the inner corner of my eye, as I don’t often use cream, or purples. Regardless this is blinding! Totally blinding! If you like a super wet look, shine so they can ‘see you from space’ highlighter, this is the one for you! It isn’t super creamy, it is a little more on the powdery side, but at such a good price, you couldn’t walk out of a shop without picking this up! Sleek have totally smashed this! Go Sleek!

Soap & Glory Archery 2-1 Pencil & Brush in Love Is Blonde, £8.50. – Iv tried numerous different pencils this year, I love the ABH Brow Wiz, but the price tag is ridiculous! I feel like its got more expensive throughout the year. The first one I ever brought was around £16. I decided to try and find a cheaper alternative, as I seem to go through brow products the quickest as I use them even on days I wear no makeup. I found this pencil, and I feel it gives the exact same effect! The colour is so cool toned with no orange tinge to it! It lasts on my brows without setting them all day, and it is such a good price! Also comes with spoolie on the other end!

Too Faced Shadow In Nudie (from the natural eyes shadow palette), £32. – Now, this was a totally out of the blue discovery for me. I brought this palette to use for my eyes! (obviously, it is an eyeshadow palette) I still do use it for its sole purpose, and is a great ‘no makeup, makeup day’ palette.. BUT the shade ‘Nudie’ is the most perfect brow colour for my blonde brows I have come across! With no warm tones, just a totally cool tone, light brown/taupe colour, it is the best! I use this every single day, I even travel with this, as not only can I use if for eyeshadow, I also have brows! I am desperately trying to find a extremely similar colour for an alternative to this, so once it has run out, I don’t have to re-purchase the whole palette for 1 eyeshadow!

Charlotte Tilbury Palette in The Vintage Vamp, £39. – I had to include just 1 eyeshadow palette! The reason this didn’t make my top 6 is because this is one of the newest palettes in my collection. The gold glitter is totally to DIE for! It is so glittery, and I use this on days when I want a more dramatic eye! I feel like its best over the top of shadows, rather than on a bare lid, as it pops more! The other colours are also gorgeous, and very luxury looking, with very luxury packaging!

Soap & Glory Super Cat Liquid Liner in Carbon Black Extreme, £6. – This.. is the best. Totally budge proof, so user friendly, and JET BLACK. I am rubbish at liner, and every one I try I ruin my makeup! This will never fail me, the formula is the perfect consistency, the felt tip is just flexible enough to get right into the corner, and create the perfect wing every time, and I get quite watery eyes, and this really doesn’t move! I do use a black Kiko shadow to set this (featured in my Kiko haul) just to properly set it into place, but it turns matte, but you have enough time to really work with this product on your eyes. Incredible.

L’Oreal Paradise Extatic in 01 Black, £11.99. – This is a newer discovery for me, my love for expensive mascaras needed to slow down, as this is another product that you can go through really quick. This makes my lashes look like false lashes. The length and volume this gives is unreal. Even on the shortest, flattest lashes, this will make such a difference. The formula isn’t to wet, nor to dry, so you can really layer this up with no time delay at all. Its totally jet black, and will make your lashes stand out. This has been super hyped up by Tati Westbrook, and she inspired me to buy this! I’m so glad I did!

Benefit Roller Lash in Black, £20.50 – This is ‘Roller Lash’ for a reason, Holy smokes it rollssssss your lashes to space! You can achieve incredible length and volume from this mascara, and is 100% my favourite out of all the Benefit mascaras. This doesn’t dry out, and it can last me a couple of months, so I’m not overly bothered about the price tag!

Tom Ford Lip Colour, from the Girls & Boys collection in the shade Ellie, £29. – This is more of a special lipstick to me! This was my first ever Tom Ford product, and when I saw the Boys&Girls collection, and I saw my name, I was so happy! Michael kindly brought me this for Christmas and I just love it. It is such a tiny lipstick, so I will sparingly use it, but I have used it a couple of times, and the mauve undertone really compliment my skin! Almost like it was made for me 😉

Burts Bees Lipstick, in the shade 501 Blush Basin, £9.99. – I got this in the ‘Latest In Beauty’s limited edition ‘Beauty and the Beast’ Box’ (FYI my most favourite film in the whole world) and the whole box was based around roses! This lipstick was in included, and at first I didn’t think much of it, but once I started using it more, I felt like this was the perfect ‘throw on’ lip, like a ‘your lips but better’ shade for me! And as Burts Bees are renowned for their lip balms, you can imagine how amazing this makes your lips feel. Always in the bottom of my handbag as well!

YSL Rouge Pur Couture in the shade 70 (Limited Edition holiday collection), £28. – Last year, I tried to get my hands on a YSL holiday lipstick, simply because the glittery packaging is stunning. I didn’t realise it had been released, walked into John Lewis, and right at the front.. there it was. This is collection is beautiful, and so is the lipstick! So luxe, and it is so creamy and glossy! Sadly, this is no longer available in many places, but I will continue to collect their holiday lipsticks every year. Another special one for me.

And that folks is it for 2017! Sorry for the long winded post, but I could resist babbling on about my favourite products! I cannot wait to discover new make up in 2018, and see what changes in my staple collection!

Lots of love, Ellie x
